Scranton-Temple Health Center

Since its inception, the Scranton-Temple Residency Program has been committed to primary care. At the heart of the Ambulatory Care program is the Scranton-Temple Health Center. Just a half-block away from both hospitals, the clinic is a comfortable environment in which to see ambulatory patients and perform routine outpatient procedures. A large conference room and clinical lab space provide an ideal learning environment for residents. In addition to a concentrated ambulatory care rotation, the residents spend one half day per week in this continuity clinic.

Our ambulatory care block rotation is designed to train residents in various aspects of outpatient care, including the subspecialties of dermatology, rheumatology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, gynecology, and ENT. The clinic also has special sessions devoted to HIV hematology/oncology, and other sub-specialties.

Residents access their patient records through a CCHIT Certified electronic medical records system.
